Is my BMW compatible with Apple Carplay?

Having BMW activate Apple Carplay requires the following:

• A BMW manufactured from July 2016 and equipped with optional equipment Apple Carplay preparation or Smartphone integration (SA 6CP)
• A BMW with the optional equipment Connected Pack Plus (6C2) or Connected Pack Professional (6C3/4)
• At least an iPhone 5 with iOS version 9.3 or higher and an active data plan
• On the iPhone, Siri, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are activated

Please note that requirements and availability may vary by country. Want to make sure your BMW is Apple Carplay-enabled? Feel free to inquire with us about the possibilities. The Apple Carplay service always has an unlimited duration and is permanently available in your BMW, if your BMW is suitable for it.

No Wi-Fi antenna present?

At Elektrofix, we can install a wifi antenna for you if it is not present to activate BWM Apple Carplay. Send us a message if you need a wifi antenna to connect the car. 90% of the models already have a wifi antenna already installed at the factory. Not sure if you have this? If so, please contact us.
